Our last two ‘Pony Days’ for the summer were full of smiles. Our riders enjoyed taking part in 1km and 2 km Endurance rides around our beautiful countryside. They groomed, tacked up, learnt how to lead, put on boots and rugs, mucked out, watched how to measure their ponies and what to feed them and finished with cleaning their tack. The weather was perfect for picnicking in the field and more horse shoes were decorated. The days ended with presentations of their RDA Endurance certificates and rosettes.
In total 17 riders enjoyed the happy, positive experience of spending time with their ponies. A huge thank you to our coaches and volunteers for their commitment and support in helping to make our first-ever pony days such a success. Now, what to plan for next year!
