The past year has seen a difficult time for organisations such as Stratford Rotary, as it has been a challenge to hold fundraising events such as the Stratford Marathon which usually raises a significant amount for local charities. However, they have delved deep into their reserves and Rotarian, Iain Kelso, proudly handed over a donation of £400 to Fiona, our Sponsorship Secretary, to continue the sponsorship for two riders.
We are so grateful to Stratford Rotary, it was a lovely surprise when we heard that they were able to continue with their sponsorship. The impact these lockdowns have had on some of our riders, who gain so much from attending our sessions, is huge – both physically and mentally. It has never been so clear just how much the time they spend with our horses helps. The support from them has been a big help to us, so that we can continue our therapeutic service.
