Congratulations to Kate on receiving the Margaret Clemons Young Volunteer Award. A well- deserved recognition of her enthusiastic, can-do approach on Thursday afternoons.

Our riders, particularly the younger ones, respond well to her friendly encouragement and support. Not least because she can run faster than most us!  Since joining us just over 12 months ago Kate has achieved her Young Equestrian Leader bronze award (YELA), as well as helping out with the ponies at Luddington fete and other events.  Although more used to handling racehorses, Kate enjoys grooming and tacking up our ponies and has a particular soft spot for Marco, as she learnt to ride on him many years ago, when he was in the riding school at Shotteswell!   Kate has recently started a course in horse management at Moreton Morrell, and we love to see her whenever her studying allows.
