Hacking round the furthest reaches of the farm, grooming and tacking up their ponies, practising riding skills in the arena and eating cake were just some of the activities enjoyed by Jo P, Jules and Anna this weekend at Home Farm. Jules was excited to be reunited with Alfie; Jo made excellent progress on Marco and only needed one sidewalker; and Anna rode Kiera with confidence and determination.  It was great to see each partnership develop and improve each day. Although muddy underfoot, we dodged most of the showers and explored the extensive hacking we are fortunate to have on our doorstep.  Lovely for our riders, but hard work for our long-suffering helpers, who nonetheless completed the “route-march” with a smile on their face….. well I took it to be a smile anyway!  A cup of tea and a piece of cake on our return was well earned.  Once again this event wouldn’t be possible without an amazing team of helpers, who responded at such short notice.  Thanks also to Dan for accommodating us at the yard.  A special mention for Alfie, Marco and Keira, who were a little surprised to be working at the weekend, but willingly gave 110%, as always. Another great team effort, resulting in a happy, rewarding experience for us all. Karen

Jules asked me to say a big Thank You to everyone who helped her to have a really great time this weekend. She enjoyed the grooming and helping to tack-up. Was a bit nervous about riding Alfie again after such a long time but both soon settled down and she was proud of riding him round the obstacles independently. Only thing she felt she missed out on was the tack cleaning!
Thank you from me as well. As always you are an amazing group and always go above and beyond!

Jules and Jane.
