Post image for Riders help raise £2700 for charity

150 horse riders took to the fields around Kineton on Sunday 21st August to help raise a whopping £2700 to be split between the Stratford upon Avon Riding for the Disabled Group and the Warwickshire & Northants Air Ambulance.  The Fun Ride had been kindly offered by Mr & Mrs Hurley the owners of Kineton Grange Farm in memory of their friend and our Group volunteer, Liz Jackson.  The sun shone as they rode from Kineton Grange Farm to the Group’s venue at Home Farm, Compton Verney, where they were treated to refreshments donated by Sainsburys, Wellesbourne, continued on through Combrook and back to Kineton.  NFU Mutual sponsored the rosettes which were given to the returning riders by Simon, Liz’s husband.  The charities would like to thank the Stratford Ambulance Service, sponsored by Avonvale Veterinary Practice, the landowners, those who gave donations and services and all its marshalls for helping to make the event such a success which will enable them both to continue to offer their services to the local community.  Our biggest thanks though must go to the riders who turned up in force to take part.

Hi it was a lovely ride and everyone was so friendly. Thank you to the volunteers and land owners who made it possible for us to ride in such beautiful surroundings.
