Updating our First Aid skills was on the agenda with ten of our volunteers attending a course run by 3 men from the Stratford Ambulance Association. CPR before lunch, strains and sprains, cuts and bruises were all covered. The slings got us tied up and Karen made a great patient when dealing with suspected fractures. Serious but fun. Thank you guys we now feel much more aware. The Stratford Ambulance Association are also looking for volunteers to train as First Aid Officers for events such as Fun Rides in case anyone might like to join them and of course if you want training or an event covered you only have to ask.
